EN ISO 21368 certification

With the increasing need for high‑quality adhesive bonding, the former German standard DIN 2304‑1 (last revised in April 2020) has been replaced by the international standard EN ISO 21368.

The EN ISO 21368 standard was incorporated into the system of European standards on 30 August 2023.

EN ISO 21368 provides globally harmonized guidelines for ensuring bond quality across the entire adhesive bonding process chain — from design and development, through manufacturing, to inspection, maintenance and repair.
The standard defines requirements for process reliability, documentation, qualification of personnel, and classification of bonding tasks, ensuring that bonded joints meet defined and reproducible quality levels regardless of industry sector.

EN ISO 21368 explains general organisational, contractual, technical and manufacturing principles applying to bonds.

Our organisation SVV Praha s.r.o., member of the GSI-SLV company, extended its certification services and added adhesive process certification according to EN ISO 21368.

Bond quality is selected based on safety classification:

  • S1 high safety requirements
  • S2 medium safety requirements
  • S3 low safety requirements
  • S4 no safety requirements
